Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how From Isekai LLC (“we,” “our,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Zodiara mobile app (“the App”). We are based in California, USA. If you have questions, email hi@tryzodiara.com.
1. Information we collect
Anonymous use (no account). You can use Zodiara without creating an account or signing in. On first launch the App creates an anonymous identifier so your profile, memories, and balance can be saved and synced. No name, email, or Apple ID is involved in anonymous use. An anonymous identity is private to your device until you choose to sign in. See Section 4 for how long anonymous data is retained.
Account information. If you choose to sign in with Apple, we receive a unique Apple identifier and (if you choose to share it) your name and email. Signing in links your existing anonymous data to a durable account so it persists across devices and reinstalls.
Profile and birth details. You may enter your name, birth date, birth time, and birth location. These are used to compute your astrological chart and personalize readings.
Voice during readings. When you start a reading, your voice is streamed in real time to Google’s Gemini Live API, which produces Zodiara’s spoken responses. We do not record or store your voice audio. The stream exists only for the duration of the session.
Conversation summaries and memories. After a reading, the App generates a short text summary and may extract specific facts you have shared (for example, “user has a sister named Sam”). These summaries and memories are stored on our servers so future readings feel continuous.
Journal entries. Reflections you write in the Journal tab are stored locally on your device and on our servers.
Session and usage data. Session start/end times, duration, and remaining “Stardust” balance are recorded so we can enforce session limits and bill correctly.
Purchase events. When you purchase a subscription or top-up through Apple, RevenueCat records the event so we can credit your account. Apple does not share your full payment information with us.
Diagnostics and analytics. We use PostHog to record anonymized product analytics (screens viewed, features used, generic crash and error events). We do not link analytics to your name, email, or birth details.
Notifications. If you grant permission, we send local notifications (daily reminders, streak prompts, “Stardust refilled”). These are scheduled on your device, not by a remote server.
We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers, or browsing history outside the App.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the core service: live voice readings, astrological calculations, persistent memory, and the Journal feature.
- To bill, enforce subscription and top-up limits, and prevent abuse.
- To send you local notifications you opted into.
- To improve the App through aggregated, anonymized analytics.
- To respond to your support requests.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your readings, voice, journal entries, or memories to train artificial intelligence models — neither ours nor any third party’s.
3. Third parties we share information with
We share information only with service providers who help us run the App. They are bound by contract to use it solely on our behalf.
- Apple Inc. — account authentication (Sign in with Apple), in-app purchases, push delivery infrastructure.
- Google LLC (Gemini Live API) — processes your voice in real time to generate Zodiara’s spoken responses. Per Google’s terms for the Gemini API, your data is not used to improve Google’s models.
- Supabase, Inc. — hosts our database (account records, summaries, memories, journal entries, session balances). Data is stored in the United States.
- RevenueCat, Inc. — manages subscription and top-up entitlements.
- PostHog, Inc. — anonymized product analytics.
- Astrology API providers — receive birth date, time, and location to compute your chart. They do not receive your name, account ID, or any other identifier.
We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of From Isekai LLC, our users, or the public.
4. Data retention and deletion
Retention periods. We keep your information only as long as needed to provide the service:
- Signed-in (Apple) accounts — retained while the account exists. You can delete it any time (see below); we do not auto-delete signed-in accounts.
- Anonymous accounts with no meaningful data (created but effectively unused — no name, birth chart, or saved memories) — automatically deleted after 30 days of inactivity.
- Anonymous accounts with saved data (name, birth chart, or memories) — automatically deleted after 24 months of inactivity. “Inactivity” means no sessions or app activity during that period.
- Abandoned anonymous data — if you sign in with Apple to an account that already exists, the anonymous identity left behind on that device is deleted at that moment (its data is merged into your account first).
These automatic deletions are permanent and irreversible. When an anonymous account is deleted you cannot recover its profile, memories, or balance.
You can also delete a signed-in account at any time from Profile → Danger zone → Delete Account. When you do:
- Your profile, birth details, memories, summaries, journal entries, and Stardust balance — including any unspent subscription minutes and unspent top-up credits — are deleted immediately and irreversibly from our database. Forfeited Stardust cannot be restored, transferred to another account, or refunded.
- Your authentication record is removed from Supabase.
- All local data on the device is wiped.
- Past purchase events may persist in RevenueCat’s records as required by Apple’s receipt-validation rules; these records are tied to your Apple account, not to your Zodiara profile.
- If you have an active subscription at the time of deletion, the subscription itself is not automatically cancelled — Apple manages auto-renewal independently of your Zodiara account. To stop future charges, cancel the subscription in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions before deleting your Zodiara account.
- Aggregated, fully anonymized analytics events that cannot be linked back to you may be retained indefinitely.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information:
- Access — request a copy of what we hold about you.
- Correction — fix inaccurate information.
- Deletion — delete your account (available in-app) or email us.
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Opt-out of sale or sharing — we do not sell or share for cross-context advertising. Nothing to opt out of.
- Non-discrimination — we will not penalize you for exercising your rights.
California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA. Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and other regions have rights under GDPR or comparable laws. To exercise any right, email hi@tryzodiara.com from the address tied to your account. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (typically 30 to 45 days).
6. Children
Zodiara is rated 17+ and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards: TLS for data in transit, encrypted storage at rest through Supabase, and least-privilege access for our team. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we work to minimize risk.
8. International users
Zodiara is operated from the United States. If you use the App from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.
9. AI disclosure
Zodiara’s spoken responses are generated by an artificial intelligence model (Google Gemini). Responses are not reviewed by a human before you hear them. They are produced for entertainment and reflection only and should not be relied upon as medical, legal, financial, psychological, or other professional advice.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top and notify you in-app or by email before the changes take effect. Continued use of the App after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
